This code is for demonstration purposes. See this blog post for further explanation.
Instructions
Preparation:
- Take this HTML file and host it on a web server you control.
- Obtain a free dynamic DNS hostname (for example at dyndns.org) and point it to your web server.
Execution:
- Use your web browser to access the html file (addressing it with the dynDNS hostname).
- Use the dynDNS-provider's interface to set the host's address to the IP of the target server.
- Quit your web server (or configure your firewall to reject connections).
- Enter the address of the web page that you want to access (for example "index.html"), omitting the hostname (don't enter something like "intranet.local/index.html" or even "http://intranet/index.html", this script is quite dumb).
- Press "start". If everything worked fine, a textarea containing the page's source code should appear in a couple of seconds.
proceeding the read attempt (may take a while)
